Students are encouraged to join the school clubs and participate in activities such as trekking, drama, dance, sports and music. The weekends are a special blend of study, leisure and fun.
Holidays are spent in recreational activities like team games, swimming, and chaperoned visits to nearby destinations. These activities range from going to the movies, beaches, concerts, educational visits, to sightseeing trips.
Regular get-togethers like barbecue nights, DJ nights, bonfires, and formal dinner nights add spice to the hostelers life.
A typical school day starts with a morning exercise session followed by a hearty breakfast. Sports coaches supervise field games like football, basketball and tennis in the afternoons for the boarders. Guided study hours are maintained every evening with support from the teachers of the school. Computer facilities and internet access is provided for all the students. Common rooms are equipped with televisions and indoor games like carrom boards and table tennis tables.
Weekends are planned in advance by the teachers with trips to museums, art galleries, cinemas, exhibitions and other performances to give the boarders an experience of the local culture. Outstation trips to nearby hill stations and cities are planned on long weekends.
Special events like Fresher’s Night, Formal Dinner, Campfires and Barbecue dinners are organised annually to encourage easy camaraderie amongst the boarders.
